Welcome to Marvel Answers. What would you like to know?

It seems to depend on writer. In some situations he seems to duplicate objects, or they all end up where the original is (such as paintings) but, in some universes, and based on some writers, it changes.

For instance, in the X-Men Evolution universe he duplicates objects he's in contact with when he is hit and they all seem to disappear when the duplicates disappear, however, there isn't any shot of him not fusing back into his body, so there may be a difference.

However, if one looks at the Ultimate Universe, when the Madri are killed independently of Madrox Prime the objects that he's holding seem to merely disappear. Whether they are absorbed into his system or are destroyed is a mystery.

In 616 it depends on authors, early after Madrox was seen it was written that the things show up where Madrox Prime was, (the case I'm thinking of was a painting, I think, but I might be wrong) however, later things seem to clatter to the ground or disappear when the Madri disappear. However, again, this may be due to lack of continuity between authors.

Also, the Madri seem to drop a lot of things when they disappear, especially at range from Madrox Prime. This may be so authors don't have to deal with exactly this question.

I hope that helped. It seems to depend on writer. In some situations he seems to duplicate objects, or they all end up where the original is (such as paintings) but, in some universes, and based on some writers, it changes.
